Are you all enjoying the chill in the air? I know I am! The weather is too good to not venture out and have an amazing time. But you know what comes with winter? Dry skin! But that doesn’t bother me anymore. I have got the perfect tips to take care of your skin this winter. I follow them and get moisturized, nourished and radiant skin even with the chill in the air around. Let me share them with you.
Make the moisturizer your best friend
Now, this is a given, right? In winter, skin loses moisture more than in other seasons. It’s crucial that we maintain the balance of our skin. I always keep a moisturizer handy with me and apply it whenever I feel my skin is feeling dry or chapped. Of course I always make sure that my face is perfectly clean before I apply the moisturizer otherwise it is just pushing all the dirt accumulated on the skin even further.
Exfoliation is key
We sweat less during winter so the dead cells need to be exfoliated by scrubbing the skin well. I always scrub my face well so that the dullness due to the dry air around goes away. However, make sure you don’t scrub too often. It might work the opposite and make your skin even drier. I always scrub my face well and wash it off using warm water and pat it dry with a towel.
Don’t forget the sunscreen
Most of us forget to put on the sunscreen during winters. The sun might be hiding or the rays might not be that harsh. However, the winter sun still damages our skin. I never forget to put it liberally on my hands and face every time I step out in the sun. Just remember to apply it 30 minutes before you head out for the best results.
Hydrate yourself inside-out
Winters mean that your whole system dries out. It is really essential that you drink lots of water. It nourishes and moisturizes your skin and detoxifies your body. I always maintain the right balance for my body and skin by drinking the right amount of water every day. In winter, our bodies dry out more and need more hydration consequently. So, it is essential that we drink the right amount of water to keep ourselves hydrated.
I always follow these diligently every winter and they work wonders for me! What about you? Do you have any tips of your own to share? Don’t forget to let me know about those!
